The WW Operations IPAT team is seeking a Head of Strategic Planning to guide financial planning and analysis in our fast growing Operations Network.

As the Head of strategic planning in WW Operations IPAT, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, world-wide operations finance partners, and tech team to inform the strategic direction of the organization. This role presents an opportunity to serve as a key finance leader and play a pivotal role in shaping the company's business strategy. You will lead and build strong team and leverage data to provide insights to senior stakeholders and also innovate financial planning process. To succeed in this role, you will require a strong financial and operational acumen, with the ability to manage end-to-end operations. The ideal candidate will be a motivated learner, adept at prioritizing high-impact work and excited to tackle complex problems that influence company-wide strategic decisions. Additionally, you will be able to adapt to new approaches and methodologies, effectively navigating complex data to drive informed decision-making.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Leading WW Ops IPAT strategic planning team to effectively provide actionable insights to senior leadership in order to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions; ensuring that timely and accurate metrics and forecasts are created and maintained.

  2. Building strong WW Ops IPAT strategic planning team through hiring, and developing team members.

  3. Establishing robust and efficient planning processes for world-wide operations finance and coordinating broader finance teams.

  4. Driving continuous improvement and standardization of processes, including implementation of best practices and automation initiatives, collaborating with technology teams.

  5. Innovate world-wide operations planning process working with broader operations finance, tech and science teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hiring, leading and developing teams experience

  • 8+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • 8+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 8+ years of mentoring junior finance and/or business team members experience

  • 5+ years of working with senior staff (e.g. c-suite) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $122,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $227,700/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
