Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead the Logistics and Warehouse Management capability teams within the Operations Digital, Technology & Innovation (OPS DTI) group to support the Global Supply Chain business organization.

We are embarking on our journey to establish a groundbreaking Site for Amgen and are implementing SAP Extended Warehouse Management System (SAP S/4) as well as ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System) as part of advancing strategic capabilities within Amgen’s Supply Chain to enable digitalization, faster decision making & speed to/in market. As the Warehouse Management Product Owner/ Business Analyst, you will report into the Order to Cash Product Manager and you will work closely with the functional and technology customers at each stage of the development lifecycle to build and sustain the best fitting technology solutions using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

You will develop and maintain a vision for how technology can be used to solve critical business problems, understand the impact of technical solutions on business outcomes and ensure to increase the value of investments made. You will own the collaboration and engagement with various partners and help in delivering standard methodology solutions based on business requirements.

This role will be essential in our path of transformation to have an outstanding Warehouse Management capability and you will be driving a portfolio of systems like SAP Extended Warehouse Management, ASRS (Automatic Storage and Retrieval System), ERP/SAP, Rapid Response/Kinaxis, Data Lake and Control Tower.

As a Product Owner / Business Analyst you will:

  • Work closely and lead discussions with partners to elicit information in order to understand true business needs as User Stories

  • Exhibit business process expertise in Logistics overall and more specifically in SAP Extended Warehouse Management.

  • Operate as the Technical Product Owner for the End-2-End solution within your domain.

  • Lead and support the analysis, solution, design, and estimation of various projects and backlog items that address business problems

  • Prioritize work based on understanding of requirements and business impact

  • Understand technology strategy and help develop case alternatives which anticipate the future direction of the business

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Master’s degree and 6 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems

OR

High school diploma/GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge in the following SAP areas in order of priority: Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Systems, Order to Cash process, Transportation Management Systems and Master Data concepts

  • Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, applying tools and techniques to effect business change

  • Ability to understand business strategy and needs and support the translation into application requirements

  • Ability to create compelling cases balancing business benefits and costs

  • Ability to understand business complexity and project interdependencies

  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to question thought partners across functions

  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations

  • Good understanding of basic system engineering, information risk and security guidelines and architecture standards

  • A collaborator who is able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus

  • Demonstrable experience in the following areas: Business Analysis, Defining a case, Model requirements, Validate solutions, Project and Product management and Creating and maintaining backlog of user stories
